The Mermaid Ball held in August to benefit the National Marine Life Center was a grand success! This year's event was a sellout, and the planners are already trying to figure out how to add 200 more people for next year's magical seaside event.

Solar Panels at CHAMP Homes
SolarPanelImageCHAMP Homes is working to add photovoltaic cells to the roofs of some of tier buildings to do tier part in protecting the environment by using solar energy.

They are seeking the support for the project from organizations on Cape Cod that are focused on sustainability and environmental preservation. They view this endeavor as an opportunity not only to decrease fossil fuel pollution but also to help lead the way for others in tier own use of solar energy.

They hope to use tier sites as educational tools for residents and the area schools. If you are interested in helping in the acquisition of solar energy for CHAMP Homes, please e-mail Paul Bradstreet, Director of Educational Programs, at CHAMP Homes.

FREE Grain Bags
RecycleCape Cod Brewery has tons of grain bags available for beach clean-ups. They work very well for this purpose because they are heavy duty, they can be reused, and best of all, they are FREE!!!  Cape Cod Brewery is working hard to reduce their overall environmental impact in terms of the disposables generated by their business. Anyone who might be interested in these grain bags, please e-mail Beth at the Cape Cod Brewery.
